Divide Face

Subdivide Face is now renamed Divide Face. Divide Face is an operator that divides one or more faces with dividing objects, like edges, curves or planes.
Divide Face: 1 = Face to Divide, 2 = Dividing ObjectDivide Face now enables you to: Divide multiple faces in one feature through an improved user interaction. Use Selection Intent to pick faces for division, and to pick dividing objects. Now, you can also use the Stop at Intersection selection intent and the new Follow Fillet selection intent option to pick dividing objects. Use curves, edges, faces, and datum planes as dividing objects. Specify the projection direction for dividing objects. There is a new projection direction option called Normal to Curve Plane. If you select a curve/edge or a set of curves/edges, the system determines whether they lie on the same plane. If they do, the projection direction is automatically set as normal to that plane. Specify that the selected dividing objects be blanked after the divide face operation. Control the projection of any curves that lie within faces if they are selected as dividing objects. You can prevent unwanted projections when all sides of a body have dividing curves and you want them to divide only the faces they lie in.

Why Should I Use It?
Use Divide Face to divide one or many faces in a single operation, using multiple dividing objects. Divide Face is normally used to create parting edges on models of patterns, molds, or dies, and the parts they are associated with.
